LGD Freestyle Dance Battles

  • 02:00 pm
  • Goethe Zentrum Kampala

The Local Get Down (LGD) Freestyle Dance Battles are a highly anticipated event in Uganda and the surrounding region, attracting some of the best dancers in the area to showcase their skills and compete for cash prizes and bragging rights. Organized by LGD, a freestyle dance fellowship founded in 2014, these events feature a series of elimination rounds in which dancers are paired up and improvise a dance battle against each other. The judges, who are experienced dancers and choreographers, score the dancers based on their creativity, style, technique, and stage presence. In addition to the main competition, the LGD Freestyle Dance Battles also offer workshops and classes led by professional dancers, as well as performances by local dance crews and special guest performers. The second edition of the LGD Freestyle Dance Battles will take place on January 28th in partnership with the Goethe Zentrum Kampala. Don't miss this exciting celebration of dance and talent.
